Three Ways You Can Make a Difference

Whether you are an Old Scardeburgian, a current or former parent, grandparent, member of staff or friend of the College, there are a number of ways you can support the Foundation and help create opportunities for future generations.

Every gift, whatever its size, can make a difference.

Leave A Legacy

Leaving a gift to Scarborough College in your will can have a profound and lasting impact.

You may choose to direct your legacy towards the Bursary Fund, helping talented young people access a Scarborough College education when financial circumstances might otherwise prevent them from doing so. Alternatively, you may wish to support a particular capital project or contribute towards the Foundation’s wider work.

Whatever you choose, your legacy can help create opportunities that will benefit students for generations to come.

To recognise the commitment and generosity of those who choose to leave a legacy to Scarborough College through the Foundation, we have established the Owl Society. The Owl Society is open to anyone who has notified us of their intention to leave a legacy to the College.

Members and their partners are invited to an annual lunch at the College, bringing together those who share a commitment to its future and providing an opportunity to see the difference their support can make.

Join the 1901 Society

The 1901 Society offers a simple and accessible way to become part of the Foundation’s community of regular supporters. Regular gifts provide ongoing support for the Foundation’s work and help create opportunities for students.

Supporters give just £19.01 each month, an amount chosen to commemorate 1901 – the first year that pupils passed through the doors of Scarborough College and were taught at the school.

Members of the 1901 Society will also receive regular updates and invitations to selected College events, helping them remain connected to the College community.

Donate to a Specific Project

You can also choose to make a one-off gift to support a particular project or the wider work of the Foundation.

Current opportunities include the Take A Seat campaign and the Lisvane Hall Redevelopment, as well as contributing to the new Sports Pavilion, while future projects will continue to create new opportunities for supporters to invest in the College.

Whether your gift supports a performance space, sporting facilities, science laboratories, bursary opportunities or another area of College life, you will be helping to create opportunities for students to learn, develop and thrive.
