Lisvane Project Scarborough College

Join us in Redeveloping Lisvane Hall

We are raising the curtain on a new era for Performing Arts at Scarborough College.

Lisvane Hall has been at the heart of College life for over 30 years.

It has been a place where students have performed, celebrated, rehearsed, created and discovered talents they may never have known they possessed. Now, the Scarborough College Foundation is helping to transform it for the generations to come.

The Lisvane Hall Redevelopment is the Foundation’s flagship capital project and represents an exciting investment in the future of Performing Arts at Scarborough College.

Phase One: Transforming the Auditorium

The first stage of the project focuses on creating a modern, flexible performance space that will support ambitious productions, concerts, dance and other events.

The redevelopment includes:

A 450-seat auditorium
A retractable stage
Upgraded seating
New sound and lighting systems
A modern technical booth
Improvements to the stage and flooring
Enhanced backstage facilities, including changing rooms and WC facilities

These improvements will create a professional-quality environment in which students can develop their skills and confidence, while also providing an outstanding venue for the wider College community.

The project has already received tremendous support from across the Scarborough College community. Old Scardeburgians, current and former families, grandparents, staff, businesses and friends of the College have all played a part in bringing this vision closer to reality.

Our Take A Seat campaign has given supporters the opportunity to become a permanent part of the new auditorium, with seats named in recognition of the people, families and memories connected with Scarborough College. Seats are still available if you would like to be a permanent part of our new theatre.

Every contribution is helping to create a place where students can step onto a stage for the first time – growing their confidence and allowing their creativity to flourish.

There are two ways in which you can help us achieve our goal:
