Enquiry and Application

International students are expected to make their application online and upload a form of ID, school reports from the past two years (and/or relevant exam certificates) and a hand-written statement.

For applicants studying (i)GCSEs or the IBDP, a strong command of the English language is essential. If English is not your first language, we may ask you to take an English assessment. You may also be asked to take an English diagnostic test on the first day of school.

If you are applying for an Academic Scholarship, you can sit the Scholarship papers online and in your own country, provided we are satisfied with the exam conditions. This may be in a study travel agent’s office, where there is suitable exam space, or your current school.

Visits & Interviews

We encourage families to visit if this is possible. We can support families visiting from abroad and have a list of vetted places to stay. During your visit, you can see the boarding houses and the school as well as complete the interview with the Headmaster. If you are unable to visit, we can schedule an online interview with the Headmaster. We ask that at least one parent is present during this interview.

Guardianship & Visa Support

Students who require a visa to study in the United Kingdom are issued with a Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies (CAS) upon completion of their registration and payment of fees. We also require Parental Consent and Guardianship details before we can issue the CAS. Every boarding student who does not reside in the United Kingdom must have a UK-based Guardian.

Working with Study Travel Agents

Scarborough College works with Study Travel Agents from across the world in approximately 45 different countries. We aim to visit our agents and/or meet them at international events at least once every two years.

Study Travel Agents support families on their journey to find the most suitable school for their child. We work closely with our agents to provide them with up-to-date information and we host them during their visits of our school.
