Modelled on the extremely popular Yorkshire Grit programme in Years 7 – 9, Yorkshire Pebbles was launched in the Early Years of the Prep School in April 2023. Scarborough College Prep School children have always been known for their tenacity, can-do spirit and resilience; highlighted by the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge in Year 6. Yorkshire Pebbles is a fun and diverse introduction in the Early Years to that famous Yorkshire Grit.
Like Yorkshire Grit, Yorkshire Pebbles, is an off-timetable programme aimed at taking children out of the classroom and into environments alien to them. Testing their bravery, the children soon discover new skills and enjoyment in tackling the unknown.
