As the Covid-19 pandemic continues to impact on all our lives, we are having to adjust to life under lockdown. At the heart of this adjustment lies a key question: how do we ensure our children remain happy, healthy and learning in these strange and unprecedented times?
At Scarborough College, we are fully aware that circumstances differ from home to home, and some of our families are facing greater challenges than others. However, one aspect of all our lives remains constant: our school. Although we cannot reopen our doors at this time, our Summer term will still begin for all staff and pupils on Monday 27 April with the launch of our SC distance learning programme.
In order to meet the unique demands presented by this crisis, Scarborough College staff have learned new skills and thought in new ways. These ‘We Are Connected’ pages share with you how our distance learning programme will work in practice. Our core aims are threefold: ensure the wellbeing of everyone in the Scarborough College community; deliver quality curriculum content that promotes academic continuity; and maintain the co-curricular and enrichment experience that is such a vital part of a College education.
