Scarborough College played host to five local primary schools for their annual Year 5 Science Day. This year the visiting children had the task of assisting the CSI team in solving the mysterious disappearance of Dr Dusty-Pants. With five possible suspects, the children analysed evidence that had been gathered from the crime scene, to determine ‘who dunit’ . As part of the investigation they completed compound and fibre analysis, blood type testing, identifying fingerprints, and pen chromatography. The children had a great day and all managed to successfully find the culprit of this sad crime. Thanks to all the College Sixth Formers and staff for putting together an inspiring science day for the children. Congratulations to East Ayton, Seamer and Irton, Hunmanby, St Martin's and St Peter's Primary schools for all being awarded your CSI Certificates and we look forward to welcoming more year 5 pupils to another inspiring science day next June.
