Denys Crews house is a smaller property, located opposite Weaponness House, and is home for up to 17 of our younger boys, in Years 7-10. With many traditional features retained in the property; a large communal lounge, kitchen and staff duty room downstairs, and shared bedrooms with some en-suite facilities, this really is home from home.
The resident House Parent lives in the top floor flat and is on hand to help all the young boys settle in and become part of the Crews House family.
With lovely views across the Bramcote Sports Complex playing fields and then the castle and South Bay, it really is a treat to be part of Crews House.
Although the houses are all very separate and distinct, the boarding community as a whole quite often come together for social events, trips and visits. The students often visit the different houses and share all the facilities, developing some very important long term friendships.
Mr Piet Rinke is the Housemaster in Denys Crews. A former Zimbabwean cricket international, Mr Rinke is the lead cricket coach of the Cricket Centre of Excellence and you can find out more on our dedicated cricket page. Mr Rinke has two sons, Billy and Daniel.
Mr Rinke is assisted by Mr Dan Robson. Mr Robson teaches Science in the Prep School, where he is also a Year 6 Tutor. In his spare time, you can find Mr Robson on a cricket pitch, coaching youngsters at Scarborough Cricket Club.
