The IB Diploma is a two year course of study that prepares students for the rigours of higher education and beyond. Through a broad based curriculum students develop key IB learner profile characteristics leading to knowledgeable, creative, and critical thinkers. There is a strong emphasis on not only nurturing students’ academic ability but also their ability to be compassionate individuals who are open minded and able to demonstrate intercultural understanding and an ability to evaluate a range of viewpoints.
All IB students study 6 subjects from different academic areas of which 3 are studied at higher level and 3 at standard level. In addition to the 6 subjects, IB Diploma students are required to complete three Core elements – Theory of Knowledge, the Extended Essay, and CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service).
